Ann Richards, Keynote Speaker
Kaiser Permanente has announced the speakers for the eighth annual Celebration of Women¹s Wellness, to be held on Friday, May 7, 2004. The Honorable Ann Richards, 45th Governor of Texas, headlines the slate and will be joined at the podium by Regina Louise, author, businesswoman and foster child advocate, and Kathy Buckley, an award-winning, hearing-impaired comedienne.
The Celebration of Women¹s Wellness will take place from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Hutchins Street Square, 125 South Hutchins Street, Lodi.
"We are delighted with this slate of speakers for the eighth annual Celebration," stated Kristen Spracher-Birtwhistle, Associate Medical Group Administrator for Kaiser Permanente Stockton. "Ann Richards, Regina Louise and Kathy Buckley are strong women with messages that will educate and inspire the women and men who attend this annual event."
Celebration organizers are also honored to have Ruth Shaber, M.D., speak at an afternoon breakout session on "The Big Three ...Menopause, Cardiac Disease, and Osteoporosis." Dr. Shaber is Director of Women¹s Health Services, Kaiser Permanente, Northern California.
Other educational breakout sessions at the Celebration will include "Confronting the Superwoman Syndrome," and "Fitness + Good Nutrition = Wellness."
Advance tickets are $65 per person for non-Kaiser Permanente members, $60 per person for Kaiser Permanente members, or $500 for a block of eight seats with preferred seating. Tickets will be $70 at the door if available. The event has been sold-out for the past several years. The conference cost includes the conference, continental breakfast, gourmet lunch, entrance into the exhibit area, and admission to the educational breakout sessions. Space is limited.
