REGINA LOUISE

TRIUMPH OF THE SPIRIT is the only way to describe Regina Louise’s trials as an orphan discarded by most—if not all the adults in her life. Her life is one of a child who prevails against all odds, whose resilience shines through each attempt to break her, and whose sheer will to not only survive, but to thrive, is a beacon to us all.

“My whole life, I wanted to hear that I was a wanted and special child. So, I set about imaging what my beginnings would have been like.” Moreover, that’s exactly what Regina did. At the age of 11, carrying a bag of ‘Nilla Wafers, a Cragmont Soda and a quarter, this self-determined child crossed the country on a Greyhound bus to meet a mother she’d known only in a scant memory; a woman who had long ago moved past wanting to parent.

Living in well over 30 foster homes, group homes and psychiatric facilities, and over coming dangerous withdrawals from inaccurately prescribed drugs, Regina took charge of her life. After missing many years of formal education and labeled “below-average or marginal at best,” Regina’s optimism and perseverance helped her become a clear definition of resilience. She is a now successful business woman co-owning two hair salons in the San Francisco bay area, where she lives with her son and mother.

Regina devotes her life to helping others. She tours the nation speaking on behalf of children, resilience, and being your best. She not only touches, motivates and inspires her listeners to want to stand and shout—but she leaves them with the sheer hope of possibility.

Author of the bestselling Memoir Somebody's Someone, Regina Louise has been featured on NPR’s All things Considered, as well as The CBS Early Show.  Regina’s poignant story has also garnered nationwide attention in Newspapers and Magazines including San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, and the Philadelphia Tribune. She optioned her story for film and a play which opened May 2007. Regina is currently completing her second memoir and writing a young adult book.

In 2 short years, Regina Louise has delivered her message of hope, optimism and inspiration to well over a million people. Her goal, to speak to every state in the nation on the significance of all children finding life-time connections.

Regina Louise is a woman on the rise with a powerful message:
LOVE IS NEVER WASTED.
